As summer winds down and the school year ramps up, it’s no surprise that many families begin adjusting their weekly routines. At Blacktip Swim School, we understand how important flexibility is during this time—and we’re here to help you navigate the transition smoothly. Whether you're shifting extracurriculars, updating carpool routines, or just trying to find your new normal, here are some key practices to keep in mind to make the most of your swim experience this fall:
1.Planning to Pause? Submit a 30-Day Written Notice
Life gets busy, and sometimes taking a break from swim lessons becomes necessary. If you're considering pausing or stopping your enrollment, don’t forget: we require a 30-day written notice to end classes without being charged for the following month.
This helps our team manage class rosters efficiently and gives you the peace of mind that your account is handled properly. Notices can be submitted via email or through your iClass Parent Portal. Be sure to time your notice accordingly to avoid unexpected charges.
2.Use Those Makeups—Don’t Lose Them!
Missed a class over the summer? No problem—but don’t wait too long. Our makeup policy allows families to claim makeup lessons within 30 days of the missed class. After that window, the makeup credit expires.
With fall bringing more routine and regularity, now is a great time to schedule those makeup sessions. Take advantage of added availability this season and get back into the swim of things without missing a beat.
3.Need to Transfer Classes? Use iClass for a Smooth Transition
If your schedule has shifted with the new school year and your current swim time no longer fits, don’t stress. You can request a class transfer directly through your iClass account.
Simply log in, browse available times that fit your new routine, and submit a transfer request. Our team will review it and follow up to confirm your updated schedule. This feature makes it easy to keep swimming a consistent part of your child’s routine—even when everything else is changing.
4.Take Advantage of More Availability in the Fall
Fall tends to be one of the best times to secure ideal class times and smaller class sizes. As summer crowds fade and families settle into new routines, our class availability opens up—especially on weekday afternoons and evenings.
Whether you’re looking to move up a level, switch times, or bring a sibling along for the ride, now is the time to lock in a spot that works best for your family.
